Parametric Design of Canton Tower

Canton Tower is also called Guangzhou new TV Tower, it is located in Guangzhou city of Haizhuqu District (Yizhou Island) ,near the Chigang tower. The main body of Guangzhou tower is 454 meters high, on the top is a 146-meter-high antenna, the total height of 600 meters. It is the tallest tower in China, the second tallest tower in the world, second only to the clear sky tower in Tokyo.
The outer steel structure of Canton Tower consists of 24 vertical columns, diagonal braces and circular rings. Each column is spaced at intervals and arranged in an annular arrangement.
The main body of the tower is the gradient elliptical mesh structure, Its structure is generated by the two upward rotated elliptical steel shell, one is based on the ground, another on the imaginary plane of 450 meters high, two ellipses rotate 135 degrees of each other, and the two ellipse shrink thinning in the waist. Among them, the bottom of the elliptical diameter of about 60 meters × 80 meters, the aspect ratio of 7.5; the central part of the smallest elliptical diameter of about 30 meters, the aspect ratio of 7.3. The upper oval diameter is about 40.5 m x 54 m
2. The form
Firstly, I form the skin of building, the cone on the top, the spur costs outside and the horizontal floors inside. There are many sliders, that we can control the size and height of the building.
